It's just a tradition of our society, not an inherent human trait. Perhaps everyone should "cheat" and no one should care and then everyone can just do what they want. You can still be in love with someone and want to screw someone else. I know this, because I've felt attracted to other girls even when I was with my girlfriend of two years. I never did anything because I wouldn't do anything that could hurt my baby and I couldn't keep a secret like that because I'd feel too guilty. But if i HAD done something with another girl it would not have meant that I didn't love my girlfriend. It would have just meant that I REALLY wanted to have sex with another girl. Physical urges are not the same as emotional bonds. The sooner we realize that and stop being idealistic in terms of romance, the better off I think we'll be at least when it comes to relationships.
