Starting Tuesday the ny yankees and Detroit Tigers play a 3 games in ny. Do you think this will be a preview of this year’s American League Championship Series?
My dear mr. awesome;
since when has The Tigers BOUGHT this team? last I checked all the players were acquired through trades–not free agentency. Oh well, no matter.
THE TIGERS ARE GREAT IN 2008!

OMG! OMG! OMG! I am so excited!
I would love to believe so my dear friend…… it looks as though the Tigers have turned the corner for this season after a slow start. No matter what happens in October, it will defiately be a great series this week.
no!! i like ynakees also, but they will not make playoffs! it will be boston and cleveland in a.l series!! sorry about your luck!! now go back to the bronx!! where you belong, punk!!
No, because MLB passed a rule that says you have to finish in first place, be the best second place team in your league to make the playoffs, two things which the Tigers nor Yankees will accomplish due to their craptacular bullpens and old lineups.
no, the Yankees will be nice and cozy at home watching baseball on TV in October, the Tigers wont make it out ofthe first round
No, the yankees stink, the bullpen is atrocious and they’re old. the tigers can’t seal the deal. Bosox/Cleveland ALCS
I think it may be.
Although the Angels look very strong (especially considering that they are missing their top 2 starters).
It really depends on how Hughes and Kennedy respond to a slow start.
I think it’s a foregone conclusion that the Tigers will be in the playoffs.
As of right now I would be shocked if either of those teams were in the ALCS…and I honestly think one of them won’t make the playoffs…unless one or both of the teams makes a trade for some pitching I just don’t think either team has the pitching to get out of the first round.
No, it’s not. But thanks for the laugh.
No b/c Detroit will not get past the White Sox.
no…. the yankees wont even be in the playoffs this year… Tampa Bay has a better chance
Nope, I dont. Actually, based on the season so far, even the Rays have a shot at being in the ALCS!
Nope. =)
By the way — Tigers are my favorite team!
Not at all my dude. With the Yankees questionable rotation and the Tiger’s lackluster bullen? This will be a battle of teams who both have the terrible idea of buying championships.
I hope so (at least the Tigers part, I don’t care who we play). To the guy that said the Tigers’ bullpen is bad, that is untrue. The starting pitching is hurting the Tigers, not the bullpen.
Absolutely not. The Yankees won’t be anything having to do with making the playoffs this year.
it just might be but the skankees will not make the playoffs this year so we wont see them get booted out of the playoffs in the first round again and again and again the tigers will make the playoffs and win it all
No Georgie it’s not, it’s way to early to even think about it being a preview for the ALCS,I think some time this yr the yankees are going to aquire a big name pitcher,there’s the july trading dead line.It’s way to early,however? i’m so looking foward to this game.I’v been waiting since opening day for the Tiger Yankee game
well it’s too early to tell, would be nice, my yankees havn’t been out of the first round in 3 years so to be in the ALCS this year would mean hey we going to the series and winning it!!!!1 the yankees#2708 this is it!!!!1
