Every Opening Day gives me chills with the fanfare and holiday atmosphere that (no offense to other places) isn’t matched anywhere else with the red convertibles giving each player and coach a ride around the track before the game and of course the clydesdales that march across the field. Then Bob Gibson, Red Schoendienst, Ozzie Smith, Lou Brock, Bruce Sutter and Stan the Man Musial are almost always there.
The fans fill up Busch Stadium consistently and the focus is on baseball. Plenty to be happy about with being one of the most successful teams in the past 15 years or so and the only team to have double-digits in World Series rings besides the Yankees.
born in michigan. but i gotta say i LUV the STL Cardinals!!! best team EVER!!! White Sox is my second favorite team. too bad were not doin well in spring training
