The number of players on the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox are the same as with every other Major League team.

During the regular season, every MLB team has 25 players on its Active Roster. The roster expands to 40 players on Sept. 1st – with teams calling up players from the minors.

Depending on the number of minor league teams – usually at 4 levels, there are approximately 25 more per level, for a total of at least 100 more players in the minors.
