Do you see the Chicago White Sox improving during the 2008 season? Why or why not?

by admin on December 5, 2009

The 2007 Chicago White Sox did not perform very well this season. Although they are the 2005 World Series, they did well in 2006 but in 2007, they became in fourth place in their division and won just three more games than the Kansas City Royals.

Do you see the Chicago White Sox improving during the 2008 season? Why or why not? And how do you see the Chicago White Sox performing in 2008?

Tough to tell right now. The Sox still don’t have an established lead-off hitter or bullpen. There are too many questions in the 3B/LF/CF dillema. Will our hitters return to form? Will Thome stay healthy all season and solidify our DH position? Which Contreras will be get? Will we have consistency from Burle’s, Garland, Vasquez?

I see improvement. But to be honest, I don’t see them making the playoffs or even competing any time soon. We don’t have a good farm system, and I don’t think Fields and Owens will be the players the Sox expect them to be.

i would LIKE to see them improve during the 2008 season in my opinion. It’s a little too early to tell yet, since they haven’t made too many moves here in the offseason, but hopefully we’ll pick up a solid centerfielder, figure out what’s going on at 3rd base & LF.

I see them doing pretty well (hopefully!), but we’ll have to see what happens. like i said, i think it’s too early to tell.

I see the 2008 White Sox making the playoffs. The reason- I’m physchic. No seriously. I’m not even a fan of them. But they have a good chance.

I think they have to do better. You can’t do much worse, haha. It really depends on the trades they make. I am curious to see where Joe Crede and Josh Fields go. I hope Joe is ok and does as well as he did before the surgery. I am SO curious about which centerfielder they will sign. I look every time I sign on to see. They also need a lot more different people in the bullpen, cause it was so depressing to watch our hitters come through, and the game only lost because joe shmoh from AAA ruined our lead. I think they have a better chance of doing well this year, and that last year was a fluke(I hope so).

I dont. There arent enough good trades and free agents out there to make a difference.

They will be much better. Kenny Williams found out that a bullpen made up of rejects from KC is not a good idea. He will go after decent pitchers, not pitchers they can "mold".
Hunter will sign in a few days, Crede will be dealt along with Garland, and really, that will make them a better team.

if they get rid of Joe crede and end the 3rd base dilemma, then maybe they will contend.

Better. Because they can’t get worse.
